Hello all! More research on our trip to Mexico yielded more information for those who are interested in traveling for a week-long get away with “the gang.”

TRIP LENGTH AND PRICES

We’re going to take a seven-day, seven-night trip. (For those who want to shorten the trip, we can look into prices for that!) We’re going to go to an all-inclusive resort. Airfare, lodging, food, beverages (alcoholic ones too), entertainment, swimming, surf, and some other wacky incidentals are included in one price.

Some of the prices found so far are based off of 2000, as the prices for 2001 are not yet available. They are also based off of a Chicago departure. There will be some variation in price depending on your departure city.

As of Jan. 22, 2000, those who have responded to my letter are: me (of course!), Jim Biskupic, Pat Haggerty, Andy and Diane Bittman, Michelle and Chris McArdle, Katie Maloney and Pete Zacharias, Ed Kearns, Monica Rausch, Ann and Chris Langemak, Jorge Arroyo, Nihdi Nayyar, Stephanie Bernardi and Rebecca Kropidlowski.

Those who have not responded yet are: Maree Odak, Gary Kozak, Maria Oropeza, Mary and Dave Cass, and Rick and Shari Vogel. Katie Rowe is the only one who responded no. (For some reason, she’s getting married or something in October 2001.)

Remember, the deadline for responding with ANY interest in the trip is Jan. 31, 2000. Start harassing our friends and encourage them to respond. No letters were returned to me, so I assume they all reached their final destination. I’d love for everyone to go!

• Mid-April or mid-May
• Mid-October
• September (only if traveling on the Pacific Ocean side… Hurricane season on the Atlantic Ocean side)

For the all-inclusive resorts, here’s a very rough estimate of prices, which depend on when we decide to travel.
